The SV trip so far has been phenomenal. I’ve learnt and been exposed to so much practical and relevant entrepreneural skills and values in the last three days of company visits and sharing sessions. In particular, the sessions with Mike Maples and DFJ were really eye-openers in that they shared with us how they would identify start-ups for investment, the values and key factors they look at during that process, while also outlining several very insightful and yet intuitive pointers in which we should assess in our own start-up process.

And there is also Tom’s tireless dedication in guiding us, introducing us his concept of Circles of Influence, nudging us to establish connections built on trust with others and more. Gokul Rajaram’s brief presentation was easily one of the most impactful in my opinion. He essentially delivered a most insightful, concise, comprehensive guide to how to establish one’s start-up and to develop and bring a product to the market.

I’ve had numerous ah haaa episodes over just these 3 days - a testament to how enlightening this trip has been. I eagerly look forward to the remaining days of this trip! This will and has become one of the most defining and life-changing experiences in my life.

NEC, I’m confident to say that this iLEAD SV trip has been the most valuable aspect of my iLEAD experience, in terms of what I’ve seen, learnt and how it has allowed my mindset and entrepreneurial aspirations evolve - and it’s only been three days!
