Da Bao!

The study mission has come to an end.. Time flew in these 2 weeks running from one company to another, listening to very inspirational people, asking zillions of questions and setting s direction for ourselves. All of us are at the peak of motivation, everyone has a dream for which they want to work relentlessly and we have a general idea of how life will be like an entrepreneur. If I start writing the various things which I will implement after I reach back Singapore, it will take me months to complete the post. So, I thought of choosing the most important take-away from this trip - the so-called Da Bao!

Personally for me, I have realized the power of networking in this trip. Through AIESEC I was introduced to this power, but in SV I got to see it at its peak. Here, everyone knows everyone else and people are more open to interaction. Something about networking which was repeated by everyone over here is to see how you can contribute to the person you are interacting with rather than looking out for what personal motives you can achieve. And that can be seen by the way people interact. A classic example of such kind of networking is Professor Tom Kosnik. Tom was always on the look out for finding more opportunities for us to grow. Whenever we went to him with an idea, his instance reaction was to think of the people to whom he can connect us with so that we can nurture the idea in a better way. And I think this kind of networking is a long term one and the one where both the parties can grow.

Also, Tom said one thing which really is a main thing for any relationship - People are trustworthy only if you trust them. Personally, even I feel that trust is something which you give to others and not something which they have to earn. How they use the trust you give to them is the responsibility of the person. But usually from experience, if you trust a person, the person usually tries to live up to it.

So, I think I will continue with all the networking and interaction in Singapore as well. One important thing is to stay in touch with the iLEADers. Since we are all so motivated at this point, it is important that we stay in touch with each other even in Singapore and try to be a support system for one another.

I would really like to thank NEC for the wonderful experience to all of us. The SV trip has been a life-changing experience for all of us. The dedication and enthusiasm with which Karen and Hui Boon led us is remarkable and has motivated me to also contribute back to the iLEAD community. With great passion and enthusiasm, we are all ready to change the world.
