“The primary job scope I had at the company was content development / vetting and product development. The process was tough and sometimes tedious, but it coached me to be more discipline and taught me the importance of prioritising and looking at the bigger picture. Furthermore, I also picked up skills on video / image editing and became more familiar with the operations of Microsoft office software. The secondary job scope includes marketing, event management and staffing. By being exposed to these areas that I had little and/or no knowledge in, it allowed me to gain on-site experience on managing a start-up company.” - Benjamin

iLEAD is a dynamic program that provides aspiring young entrepreneurs to have an opportunity to expose to different sections such as expanding networks for business opportunity and multi tasking. iLEAD is the only local entrepreneurship program, which lets me fully immersed myself in the local entrepreneur scene. iLead Graduates (Season 2: Dec 2008)
This program has made me gain more awareness of the working world and the dynamics of managing a small biz. Also I think that the skills I learnt is something that cannot be taught in schools or through books; they must be experienced personally. I am abit late into the blogging thing (sorry about that) and currently I am loving SF for all the stuff it has; food, weather, people etc etc… Well tomorrow is the first company visit so lets hope all goes well. ~ edwin
iLEAD has definitely made me more receptive to this dynamic business world. What i get from the textbooks and lectures can only reach a certain extent, but what i experience and observe during the internship gives me the opportunity to explore much further! In addition, you will gain much insights about entrepreneurship in the local context - from the problems a CEO has to face to the critical decisions he needs to make which would inevitably determine the future of the company. I’m certainly looking forward to see the difference in culture at Silicon Valley! ~ Jason
