WizFolio is developed by a privately held Singapore company founded by two serial entrepreneurs. Prof Casey Chan and Wade Fallin. A web 2.0 reference management software, it serves to aid academics (students and researchers alike) collect, manage, and cite references with its easy-to-use interface and innovative features.

Being in a technology-based company meant that advancements in the competitive and technological environment is truly rapid. Researching for information online, soliciting useful user feedback, participating in intense internal discussions, and holding smart and viral marketing campaigns, are some of the expected activities for start-ups in this industry. While it is not entirely exciting to say the least, it is through these events that one grasp the intricacies of the startup process (especially for a tech-based firm) and grow to appreciate the local entrepreneurial setting. Finally, working for a start-up has truly been an invaluable experience, with exposures and opportunities that would never have been possible if I have done my internship elsewhere.
