Company of your internship & describe the experience:
I was an interning at The Neat Company Asia as a software developer. Our product is a mobile scanner with an amazing software that extracts data from your document and places it into Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook etc. for you to edit or manage. We also developed an online service called OCR Terminal. OCR Terminal converts images into searchable and editable test formats. For example, you scanned a letter into PDF format but you need to edit the letter. The solution, upload it to OCR Terminal and download the result as a Microsoft word document. Now you can edit the letter without having to type the whole thing from scratch!

My colleagues were a really cool bunch of people to work with and they were willing to share their knowledge and experiences with me. I truly admire their passion and dedication in running the company. In my opinion, the difference between working in a start-up company as compared to working in an MNC is that your contribution really counts and greatly appreciated. You also get the chance to be really involved in the company’s operations. You feel a great sense of satisfaction knowing that your work is helping the company to develop and prosper.
