Company of your internship & describe the experience:
I did my internship at Cadi Scientific Pte Ltd, a homegrown company specializing in wireless sensing technologies for healthcare applications. Their main product is a wireless temperature monitoring and location tracking system, which is currently used in TTSH and SGH. Working in Cadi has given me great insight into the various aspects of running a medical device company, which I am keen to pursue in the future. With over 30 employees, the company is larger compared to a typical startup company, and it has transitioned from being a small, informally run enterprise into a more professionally managed organization in a span of around five years. Throughout my seven months there, I was constantly amazed by the variety of the assignments given to me and found them relevant to my interests and my field (Bioengineering). At the same time I was constantly challenged by them since I could see that even as an intern, my work actually mattered a lot to the company. I also felt that I was part of a big family where people were very friendly and approachable. Overall, it was a very fulfilling and a very enriching experience for me, and I have no regrets whatsoever.
